Jim Bridgman was raised in the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts, and moved to Chatham County in the 1980’s to build a home on his grandparents’ farm land.

Recently, Jim inherited his Grandaddy’s old farmhouse which abuts his property, and is honored to open it to the public, as it now serves as his and his wife’s working studio.

Jim learned to tie fishing flies over 40 years ago, and has adapted that knowledge to creating feather earrings and jewelry. From time spent outdoors, he brings nature’s beauty into the gallery in the form of turned vessels, walking sticks, rustic furniture, and other interpretations. Many of the items are things that have been discarded and have lived out their usefulness, but are now given a new purpose to reveal their hidden beauty. Jim is having a blast using his knowledge of concrete work in making beautiful stepping stones incorporating stained glass with his wife, Regina.
