He is the “master” of crystalline glazes. Hand-painted pieces show the intricacies and finesse of Renaissance Italian majolica. Al and his wife Louise Hobbs now concentrate on Raku, Saggar and Primitive firings. Al was a founder of Dover Pottery in Seagrove. Al no longer practices Pharmacy and that allows him to devote all his time to play!
